What Residents Can Do

More than 15 years ago, Mayor Richard M. Daley began to transform Chicago into the most environmentally friendly city in the nation. Today, Chicago is one of the world’s greenest and most livable cities, thanks to strong partnerships between government, businesses and residents.

The success of the Chicago Climate Action Plan depends on individuals--3 million of us--working together to reduce our emissions. Every person can make a difference.

To learn how, take the $800 Savings Challenge, a checklist of actions that demonstrate how helping the environment can also help your wallet.
